A statistical analysis of the records of atmospherics activity on 27 kc/s band obtained at this station during the period 1958-1963 indicates that the midnight fall in intensity decreases with the decrease in solar activity. The daily K-index of geomagnetic activity is found to be inversely related with the magnitude of the fall. The solar control of the phenomenon is thought to be due to particle radiation from the Sun affecting the ionosphere at the single hop reflection point on the western side of this station.
