The auroral absorption of cosmic radio noise is not identical at
magnetically-conjugate points, but often exhibits a relative fluctuation
with a period of about an hour. Sometimes the absorption is seen to
alternate between conjugate points. Some statistical properties of the
fluctuations are given.
