In this paper we report on the critical mass ratio, qc, for stable Roche lobe overflow (RLOF) derived from detailed binary evolutions for case C mass transfer. The study shows that a more evolved star is less stable under RLOF, indicating that qc decreases with increasing core mass. Non-conservative RLOF strongly affects qc, while a stellar wind has little influence on it. The criterion may provide enough progenitors (parent binaries) for the observed long-orbital-period blue stragglers in the old open cluster M67, if non-conservative RLOF is assumed.
