Accurate specification and prediction of the space environment is essential to successful US military operations. While the Air Force Weather Agency is responsible for providing space weather support for the Department of Defense, the Community Coordinated Modeling Center (CCMC) hosts state-of-the-art space weather models, covering regions from the solar corona to the Earth's upper atmosphere. CCMC has developed a number of near real-time models and data products tailored to assist space weather forecasters in short-range forecasting. The adaptable Integrated Space Weather Analysis (ISWA) System, developed at CCMC, provides forecasters with access to CCMC's array of products and also aids post-event analysis. Additionally, CCMC conducts validation studies and comparisons, which helps narrow the focus on future operational models. In this presentation, we provide an update on AFWA-CCMC cooperation, the development of space weather products that supplement existing AFWA forecasting capabilities, and some of the CCMC comparisons/validation work. Both organizations benefited from the exchange while developing iSWA, a system that has allowed AFWA forecasters to execute advanced physics-based models at CCMC, predicting space environment parameters such as CME arrival time, magnitude, and duration of the impact. The AFWA-CCMC partnership has allowed Air Force forecasters to take advantage of the advanced space weather models and provide feedback to space weather researchers.
