The present numerical investigation of a sun-asteroid-infinitesimal particle three-body problem, where the particle was initially placed about the asteroid, attention is given to the zone in which circumasteroidal debris could be stably trapped, and especially to the orbits of particles on the verge of escape. As the starting distance from the asteroid is varied, a fairly abrupt transition occurs between trapped and untrapped objects; the distance at which this transition occurs is the 'critical' distance. The three-dimensional aspects of stability are explored more thoroughly than in previous studies.
