The Workshop on Interdisciplinary Aspects of Turbulence was organized within the framework of the Max-Planck-Institute for Astrophysics in Garching, Germany, and held at Ringberg Castle. It brought together researchers from the fields of Astrophysics, Atmospheric and Ocean Physics, Engineering and Laboratory Turbulence Research, as well as Non-linear Dynamics and Statistical Mechanics who share a common interest in turbulence and its properties of mixing, self-organisation of large scale structures, and related issues and the interdisciplinary aspects underlying these topics. The proceedings volume contains a collection of extended abstracts as well as short review papers based on 30 from a total of 40 contributions presented at the workshop as well as links and references to further material discussed at the workshop.
