From the fact that the time spread of neutrinos from SN1987A does not exceed a few seconds we deduce upper bounds on hypothetical long-range forces coupling neutrinos and matter in the galactic halo. In particular, we find that the charge of the neutrinos and of the constituents of dark matter are bounded by qvqx <= 5 × 10-2 (mx/mp) Gmp2, where mx, is the mass of the dark matter constituents.
