The Delaunay-Hill averaging method is used to obtain the intermediate orbit of an equatorial artificial satellite of a rotating triaxial planet in the case when there is a close commensurability between the revolution periods of the satellite and planet. Analytical expressions are obtained for the orbital elements of resonant equatorial satellites with an accuracy of the order of the planetary oblateness. The solution of the intermediate problem is presented in elliptic functions, and qualitative conclusions on the character of the resonant motion of the satellite are drawn.
