The 27-day rotation period of the Sun is unstable and related to the
secular, 22-, and 11-year activity cycles as well as to global torsional
oscillations of spots with a period of 1 year. Prediction of phenomena
on the basis of a 27-day calendar must be made with these regularities
taken into account.
