Very large array maps of six Seyfert Galaxies are presented which show double (or triple) radio structures, with two radio components straddling the optical continuum nucleus and a third, when present, coincident with it. The scales of the double sources lie in the range a few hundred parsecs to a few kiloparsecs. It is argued that these doubles represent ejection from the inner nucleus, either as plasmoids or a particle beam, followed by stopping or beam disruption by surrounding interstellar gas in the inner region of the galaxy. The broadened forbidden optical emission lines in these galaxies may originate in interstellar clouds accelerated by the hypothetical particle beam. Such a model is probably also relevant to thermal knots inside the jets of radio galaxies and to other active ellipticals, especially those containing steep spectrum radio sources and shock excited emission line spectrum.
