An analysis is made of the physical preconditions determining the use of broadened VLF signals for determining the sizes, positions, and internal structure of regions of small-scale ionospheric turbulence. It is shown that, on the basis of the temporal characteristics of the broadened signals, it is possible to determine the transverse modulation scales of the turbulence zone provided these scales exceed 10 km.
