In the neighborhood of the collinear libration points of the restricted circular three-body problem there exist a family of plane periodic trajectories along which motion is unstable. The authors consider the problem of maintaining a spacecraft in the neighborhood of such a trajectory by impulse corrections applied at equal time intervals. The corrections are applied after determining the trajectory from measured parameters of the motion. The characteristics of the distributions of the following parameters are found: (1) the total impulse required to maintain the craft within the vicinity of the libration point during the given time interval and (2) the terminal orbit parameters. Analytic expressions are given for these parameters in terms of the accuracy characteristics of the trajectory measurements and the correction actions.
