The lattice-dynamical properties of binary ionic alloys at densities relevant to the interior of white-dwarf stars are calculated through computer simulations. In order to model the system, we consider a bcc lattice containing ionic nuclei of different charges and masses immersed in an electron gas. The simulation procedure is based on the configurational average approach using supercells containing 16 and 54 ions. Specific results for carbon-oxygen mixtures are discussed in connection with the modeling of the interior of a white dwarf star.
