New and important developments in understanding the details of the Hubble flow are reviewed. New H I observations of spiral galaxies do not reproduce the CMB rest frame, and evidence has been found for large-scale streaming motions. Interpretations of these findings are considered. One important conclusion is that the cold dark model with biased galaxy formation, previously thought to have been refuted by the existence of the streaming motions, does not seem to be in serious conflict with the data. The streaming motion may be due to a mass concentration of about 20 times the mass of the Virgo cluster located near the Galactic plane beyond Centaurus at a distance of 46/h Mpc.
