Diffraction spectrograms with a reciprocal dispersion of 28-37 A/mm are used to study the physical conditions in the atmosphere of the primary star of the RY Gem system. The spectral type and luminosity, excitation temperature, turbulent velocity, electron pressure in the atmosphere and envelope, and concentrations of atoms of several chemical elements of the star are determined. It is noted that the chemical element concentrations are systematicaly lower than the 'solar' concentration.
