Scientific paper

The development of very large cosmic-ray detectors for operation in the ocean, in the atmosphere, and in large bodies of ice (glaciers and polar ice) is examined. Particular consideration is given to the possibility of detecting ultraheavy magnetic monopoles in DUMAND experiments; radio detectors of extensive air showers; and radio detectors of neutrinos in the atmosphere and in ice.
