HST observations of globular cluster cores have resulted in many radial-velocity and proper-motion data sets, with the potential for many more. These have led to various claims for the existence of intermediate-mass black holes in some globular clusters. The theoretical underpinning of these claims is very weak, however. We propose to produce new models of globular cluster cores, both with and without black holes, in order to redress this lack and allow us to make the most effective use of the HST data.
