Results are presented for an application of Tikhonov's (1963) regularization method to solve the inverse problem of correcting radio-astronomical observations for the effect of the instrument function. The observations are corrected for the directivity pattern by assuming that the true radio-brightness strip distribution over the source is a smooth function bounded above and below by certain constants. It is shown that processing of OH 1667-MHz main-line observations in absorption makes it possible to determine the structure of the absorbing clouds toward the Galactic Center.
