Solar Wind

Scientific paper

Variations of the mean diurnal values of the solar-wind velocity at the Earth's orbit during January - September 1979 are discussed. It has been shown that the value of the velocity in solar-wind streams formed near sector boundaries depends on the solar-radiation flux at a wavelength λ = 10.7 cm (r = 0.59); in streams generated within sectors, the velocity depends on the magnetic field intensity (r = 0.38) and does not depend on the radio emission power in the region of the source.
