Themistocle is a Cerenkov array for VHE/UHE gamma ray observation. This experiment is designed to obtain a very high angular resolution (<1mrad) in order to get the best signal to noise ratio distinguishing point like source gammas from cosmic rays. The technique is based on timing precision (few hundred picoseconds) which is almost linearly proportional to the angular resolution. In the future, this technique, extended from a first stage with 18 mirrors, may be used simultaneously with the appropriate EAS array to study the muon content of the showers.
