The generating function for the galaxy distribution probabilities is obtained in a closed form with the help of simple and rather natural assumptions. It allows the calculation of a large number of statistical features relative to galaxies: N-body clustering properties, probability of voids, correlations among the large clusters. A few first applications are presented.
