The cosmic radiation effects and activation monitor is described. It is designed to monitor real time linear energy transfer spectra together with mission integrated particle fluences and radioactivity. The aim of the work is to improve the predictive models used to define the aerospace environment. The experiment, together with the expected environments and ground calibration data, are presented.
