The speed-resonance process of density waves generation in terrestrial and Martian atmospheres by the moving solar terminator is investigated theoretically. The expressions for power spectra of density wave disturbances and pressure are obtained and analysed on the basis of solution of gas-dynamic equations and an empirical model of the thermal terminator. Recommendations for an experimental identification of resonance acoustic waves from local dynamical anomalies of atmospheric parameters are given.
