We present experimental measurements of the temperature under laser-driven shock of both water and synthetic mixtures reproducing the cores of Uranus and Neptune. The experiments were conducted at the Central Laser Facility of the Rutherford Laboratory, using seven beams from the Vulcan laser, up to an intensity of 1014 W.cm-2. The shock was driven in an Aluminium pusher, which featured a step in order to measure the shock velocity in Aluminium, and was transmitted into the sample. VISAR interferometers measured the shock velocity into the sample, hence allowing to infer the pressure. Calibrated pyrometric diagnostics measured the emissivity of the compressed material, which can be related to its temperature under the assumption that it emits like a black body.
