Scientific paper

Prognoz-3 data on increases of solar cosmic ray particles during the flare events of 29-30 April 1973 are interpreted on the basis of a combined analysis of the behavior of the charged particle fluxes in interplanetary space, the effects of the interplanetary magnetic field and solar wind plasma parameters. It is found that the anomalous behavior of solar particles up to energies of 500 MeV is well explained by the interaction of these particles with a system of interplanetary shock waves.
