We have added the physics of pickup ions from interstellar neutral hydrogen which drifts into the heliosphere and becomes ionized to our HHMS solar wind model. Pickup ions cause a slowing and heating of the solar wind in the outer heliosphere. We look at their effect on shock propagation. We empirically generate time-dependent MHD boundary conditions at 0.1 AU from the Sun using the sequence of Wang-Sheeley-Arge solar source surface current sheet maps. Using a 5.5 AU version of the model we iteratively adjusted shock inputs for the complex Halloween 2003 series of 19 solar shock events to achieve agreement with observed shock arrival times at both ACE and Ulysses. We are extending the model to 10 AU, and will use radius-time (R-T) plots to track our shocks along the three Sun-spacecraft lines to ACE, Ulysses, and Cassini. We will show time series comparisons at each of the three spacecraft, including pickup protons at Ulysses from SWICS. Our plan is to use Cassini data to further constrain/adjust shock inputs, and then extend the model to Voyagers 1 and 2 in the outer heliosphere.
