Relationships between fractionation correction coefficients,
spike/sample ratio and observed isotope ratios are reduced to a set of
linear simultaneous equations in three unknowns, whose coefficients are
simple functions of isotope ratios and mass differences. Solutions are
quickly and conveniently obtained by elimination and back-substitution.
