The differences between deterministic and random data are reviewed, and examples of Pi2, Pc3-5, and Pc1 recorded on single sensors are analyzed. Also discussed are autocorrelation function, spectral density, and frequency-time analyses. The methods by which the multicomponents of a signal are compared are reviewed. Various approaches to the problem, depending on the number of degrees of freedom of the signal, are considered in detail.
