We present the results of monitoring observations of the galactic center and plane regions with the Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer PCA instrument. Since 1999, we have been performing these monitoring observations twice weekly, and since 2003, the survey solid angle is ~ 500 square degrees. Approximately 150 sources have been detected, of which about 32 were newly discovered. Four millisecond X-ray pulsars have been detected. Sources vary widely in flux as a function of time, and spend a significant portion of their lives in quiescence.
