Nonlinear dynamics of the thermal and electromagnetic instabilities of the
mixed state in type II superconductors has been analysed taking into account
the effect of dissipation and dispersion. The existence of nonlinear running
waves describing the final stage of evolution of the thermomagnetic instability
in superconductors is demonstrated analytically.
