We present results from the engineering run of the BOLOCAM receiver at the Caltech Submillimeter Observatory in May, 2000 and simulations of the sensitivity of the completed BOLOCAM receiver to astrophysical sources. BOLOCAM is a 144 element array of bolometers designed to operate in the millimeter wave atmospheric windows at 150, 220, and 280 GHz. These bands are well suited to studies of the Sunyaev-Zel'dovich effect in distant clusters of galaxies as well as measurements of the emission of interstellar dust. .
