Scientific paper

The transfer of radiation in moving media and strong gravity is
discussed. The general relativistic transfer equation is derived and the
main effects produced by gravity and dynamics are elucidated examing two
simple examples. The state-of-the-art of current techniques for solving
the relativistic transfer equation is also reviewed.
