A spectral time-series analysis for the 20th and 21st solar cycles shows that the variations of various geoheliophysical characteristics have three basic periods less than 11 years: approximately two years, approximately one year, and approximately five months; the quasi-biennial variations are the most intense. Variations of the frequency of solar proton events and galactic cosmic rays are basically in counterphase. The period of quasi-biennial variations in the 21st cycle is shorter than that in the 20th cycle.
