Pc1 pulsations are analyzed in the framework of nonlinear oscillation theory. A phase-portrait method of quasi-harmonic oscillations is applied to the analysis of Pc1 pulsations. It is shown that the Pc1 spectrum contains a second harmonic that is cophase or antiphase with respect to the fundamental one. The presence of this second harmonic distorts the phase portrait, which becomes asymmetric with respect to the x axis. The present results are explained in the framework of the wave-propagation problem in a nonlinear dispersive medium.
