The fine structure of daytime Pi1C pulsations in the cusp region is analyzed on the basis of spectral and amplitude analyses of magnetic recordings from the Mirnyi station. Such characteristics as the presence of Pi1C intensity bursts, their quasi-periodicity, and the relationship with the signature of long-period PilC pulsations correspionding to pulsed reconnection were determined. It is found that Pi1C bursts in the cusp can be viewed as an index of the FTE (flux tranfer event) process observed in the daytime magnetosphere.
