The Advanced X-ray Astrophysics Facility (AXAF) High Resolution Mirror Assembly (HRMA) underwent a battery of calibration tests at the Marshall Space Flight Center X-Ray Calibration Facility during the end of 1996 and the beginning of 1997. The optics' spatial and spectral performance was measured for both on- and off-axis sources with a custom ground calibration detector system, as well as with the two flight detectors. We have combined the data from the ground calibration detectors with detailed maps of the optics' surfaces, precise measurements of surface roughness and reflectivity, and detailed mechanical models of the optics and their support structures. We report here predictions of the on-orbit performance of the optics, and present simulated observations previewing expected results.
