The paper presents a detailed description of the planetary system of
lineaments observed on Venera 15 and 16 radar images of Venus. The
results suggest that the rotation of Venus was more rapid in the past,
and that rotational forces might have made a substantial contribution to
the formation of the structural and tectonic character of the planet.
