Multicolor photometry is used to derive the period, bolometric luminosity, effective temperature and pulsation constant for a number of known and suspected variables in the globular cluster 47 Tuc. Values of the pulsation constant indicate an overtone mode of a pulsation for both the semi-regular and Mira variables, and there is evidence that V4 undergoes a switching between fundamental and first overtone modes. Variables V5 and V12 have time-varying periods, although the cause of the variation cannot be determined from present data.
