Scientific paper
The possible benefits of the use of the methods of statistical mechanics
in the context of gravity are analyzed. Two directions will be explored,
i.e., Bose-Einstein condensation under the presence of a gravitational
field, and the possible emergence of phase transitions due to the
breakdown of Lorentz symmetry.
