The passage of an Alfvén wave through the front of a strong shock wave is considered. Equations are derived to describe this passage, with arbitrary orientation of the vectors of the flow velocity, the external magnetic field, and the wave-vector of the incident wave. The coefficients of the transformation of the incident wave into MHD waves of various types are computed as functions of the orientation of the external magnetic field and the wave-vector of the incident wave.
