Scientific paper

Measurements of total ozone content over the mountains of Central Asia made at stations including Tashkent and Przheval'sk are analyzed. It is found that above the Central Asian mountain massif the TOC is 30-40 D.u. lower than in the surrounding flatlands. Seasonal variations of the TOC were found to correspond to those of the absorption of radio waves reflected from the mountain massif.
