It is possible to examine the required maneuvers for orbit adjust once a nominal orbit for an Earth observing satellite is established. The required orbital corrections are determined by estimating the orbital element perturbation caused by air drag, solar and lunar attraction and the solar radiation pressure. This perturbation changes the synchronicity with the Sun's apparent motion and the near-recurring property. To prevent this effect, orbit adjust maneuvers become necessary in order to keep the orbital elements as near as possible to the nominal values.
