In the present paper, radiant flux measurements made by Venera 9 and Venera 10 landers are used to show that the Venusian atmosphere can be broken down into three layers (and possibly more) which differ in the mechanism of light attenuation. The layers are located at heights between 65 and 50 km, between 50 and 10 km, and below 10 km. Some three-layer atmospheric models which conform with the measurement data are examined.
