The present analysis deals with the production of photoelectrons through ionization of solar radiation at 80 A in the Martian and Venusian upper atmospheres. It is shown that allowance for Auger processes in the CO2 molecule leads to considerable changes in the photoelectron spectrum as compared to calculations without allowance for these processes. Results of calculations of electron fluxes under conditions of local equilibrium are examined.
