The results of limb observations of scintillations carried out on the
orbital station "Mir" in 1989 are given. It is shown that the
scintillation spectra and the retrieved vertical spectra of the
temperature fluctuations at heights 40 - 50 km considerably differ in
high frequency region from the spectra obtained at low heights.
