The rates of the ^18F(p,α)^15O and ^18F(p,γ)^19Ne reactions affect the synthesis of the radioisotope ^18F in novae and heavy element production in X-ray bursts. These reaction rates are uncertain because of the uncertain level structure of ^19Ne above the proton threshold. Despite numerous studies, there still exist ˜8 expected (but previously unobserved) levels in ^19Ne in the relevant energy range Ex = 6.4 - 7.6 MeV. Searching for these missing levels, we have made the first measurement of the ^18F(p,p)^18F excitation function over the entire energy range of interest for astrophysics. We have found a new level at 7.420 MeV, which is likely the mirror to the 7/2^+ ^19F level at 7.56 MeV. The inclusion of this level increases the calculated ^18F(p,α)^15O rate by 16%, 63%, and 106% at T = 1, 2, and 3 GK, respectively. The experiment, analysis, and astrophysical implications will be presented.
