The general context of low energy reactions in nuclear astrophysics is outlined. Different cluster models, used in this field, are briefly presented. We discuss more specifically the potential model, the R-matrix method and microscopic models. Other techniques are commented on, and recent applications are presented. In particular, we show some results obtained in a microscopic approach for the 12C(α, γ)16O reaction.
