An analysis of photometric observations of AU Monocerotis, represented by 183 weighted normal points, has revealed a peculiarity of the light curve which is associated with the overlapping of two periodic phenomena: the well-known eclipsing one and a newly detected phenomenon with the provisional ephemeris Max(E) = 2443105 + 411 E. A tridimensional matrix representation is used to analyze the intrinsic luminosity variation of the system. A revision of the period using modified weights has yielded: M(E) = 2442801.375 + 11.113037 E.
