On the basis of Hα synoptic charts for the period 1955 - 1981 two components in the distribution of the scales of structures of the large-scale magnetic field are found. It is shown that the general magnetic field of the sun has a latitudinal zonal structure which is formed from the elements of the 1st and 2nd distributions. The boundaries of latitude zones of the magnetic field either oscillate near average latitudes or have only poleward migration. Three types of quasi-periodic oscillations are noted, their periods being different in the S and N hemispheres. The most probable period of oscillations is found in the southern hemisphere and it equals to about 20 solar rotations.
