The reaction rate of ^14N(α,γ)^18F is important for the neutron production in core helium burning of massive red giant stars. Only limited information was available about the contribution of possible low energy resonances in this reaction. We have measured the resonance strengths of these resonances with a Ge-clover detector using the high intensity α-beams of the KN accelerator of the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe, Germany. The experimental results will be presented and the implications for the neutron production in red giant stars will be discussed.
